OKWU’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (pre-licensure program) is an entry-level program designed for individuals beginning their journey into the nursing profession. The curriculum builds a strong foundation in the sciences while immersing students in meaningful clinical preparation and professional formation, equipping them to be confident, compassionate registered nurses.
Most students take their foundational courses during the freshman year and then apply to begin the nursing program in their sophomore year. This early entry opens the door to expanded hands-on clinical experiences and allows students to dive into nursing courses not typically offered (e.g. Spiritual Care of Nursing).
OKWU welcomes transfer students and student-athletes, offering a supportive, community-driven environment where future nurses can thrive academically, spiritually, and professionally.
