LPN to BSN Advance Program

The LPN-BSN Advance Programs is designed for licensed practical nurses seeking to become a BSN-prepared RN. Students must transfer in a minimum of 32 general education credits to be eligible and met all other admission requirements. OKWU also offers an LPN to BSN scholarship to help alleviate financial burden of returning to school.

Unlike traditional pathways, the LPN-BSN Advance programs streamline the transition, allowing most students to complete their studies in just four semesters. By leveraging existing knowledge and experience as an LPN, this program is designed to prepare you for expanded roles and responsibilities of a BSN-prepared nurse. Incoming LPN-BSN students receive a minimum of 23 credits of advanced standing and have the option to test out of Mental Health, OB, and Peds nursing courses for 9 additional credit hours. 

OKWU's prelicensure programs boast a 100% employment rate and a high NCLEX pass rate.
